On Line Assessments

Given the complexity of leadership, what do we know for certain?  Research with more than 50,000 managers in North America and Europe indicates that effective leaders demonstrate two overriding characteristics:  Insight and Impact

Successful leaders understand their impact.  They possess insight into the way others perceive and react to their behaviors.  This self-awareness allows them to influence positively.

DeFrancesco Consulting uses a data driven approach to leadership and organizational development.  We are proud to use feedback and assessment tools from some of the most notable international research and development firms including Management Research Group® and CPP, Inc.  At DeFrancesco Consulting, we combine proven tools with experienced staff to deliver customized leadership development, executive coaching, and team building to individuals and companies globally.

Our leadership assessment and feedback tools are available in multiple languages and use a wide variety of global norms.

Leadership 360™ or LEA Self

This distinguished product produced by MRG provides valid and reliable feedback on the use of leadership behaviors from self and others; direct reports, peers, and bosses.   LEA 360™ produces a rich feedback report complete with profiles, narratives, strategic implications, and developmental opportunities. Because the feedback is based on behaviors, change and improvement efforts are realistic and tangible.

The LEA Resource Guide, included with the feedback report, suggests action steps and provides tools for prioritizing and focusing developmental actions.

Customized LEA 360™

This product enhances LEA 360™ by enabling the addition of two customized components to MRG’s LEA 360. These customized options can be used to incorporate an organization’s leadership competencies, norms, values, or other organization-specific variables to be measured in conjunction with the LEA variables.  Customized variables can be added in two formats:

  • Questionnaire items measured using anchored rating scales
  • Open-ended questions and/or comments

Leadership Composite Profile

The LEA Composite Profile illustrates and describes the leadership practices of a specific leadership team or group. It also can be used for leadership team development and to assess training needs.

LEA Strategic Directions™

Because every company is different, each one requires a unique set of leadership practices to ensure success. Through the completion of a questionnaire and a facilitated discussion session, the management team of your organization uses LEA Strategic Directions™ to identify the most important behaviors for your organization’s future success, creating a strategic context for leadership assessment and making a business strategy come alive for leaders and managers. The LEA Strategic Directions can be used to:

  • Identify the critical leadership practices needed
  • Tie the leadership behaviors to business objectives
  • Clarify developmental priorities for the organization's leaders and managers
  • Identify action steps that the team can complete in order to develop an organizational culture that will foster the desired leadership behaviors

LEA Strategic Directions Audit

LEA Strategic Directions Audit is a customized research report that measures and analyzes the gap between current leadership practices and the strategic practices needed for your organization to reach its goals. The LEA Strategic Directions Audit can help you answer these critical questions:

  • How is our organization doing relative to its leadership goals?
  • How many individuals in our organization are performing above/within/below our target leadership ranges?
  • What are our greatest leadership development needs?

LEA Role Expectations™

LEA Role Expectations™ is designed to effectively identify the leadership practices required for a specific leadership role through the completion of a questionnaire and a facilitated discussion session. LEA Role Expectations can be used to:

  • Create clear expectations for a new position in order to aid selection and development of new employees
  • Clarify and resolve differences in expectations between target role’s incumbent and his or her manager
  • Create greater consistency when multiple leaders are in the same role

LEA Culture™

Designed to identify current leadership behaviors and practices, LEA Culture™ illustrates the present leadership culture of your organization and can be used to:

  • Assess the variety of leadership cultures that exist within a large organization
  • Prepare for a major organizational change initiative
  • Identify similarities and differences of leadership cultures during mergers and acquisitions
  • Determine the gap between the current leadership culture and the desired one

Personal Directions®

Measuring motivation, life architecture, and quality of life variables, Personal Directions® gives individuals clear and powerful feedback on how they see themselves in significant areas of their lives. This product provides activities to help individuals identify issues, consider changes, set goals, and implement actions that will improve their lives and work. Personal Directions® provides a foundation for career development and personal growth planning

Individual Directions Inventory™

The Individual Directions Inventory™ measures 17 key dimensions reflecting the degree to which an individual gains emotional satisfaction from work and life. Used independently, IDI is a valuable coaching tool. Used in combination with leadership or sales assessments, this product expands personal insight to include role-specific behavior and the motivation behind that behavior.

Sales Performance Assessment™

Sales is a highly visible function with no room for mediocrity, yet most companies know surprisingly little about the unique blend of behavior and motivation that creates success.

MRG’s Sales Performance Assessment™ (SPA) products have proved dramatically effective in helping develop sales behaviors — and boost sales results — for organizations around the world.

SPA Self gives clear, concise feedback on current sales practices and suggests developmental actions. It presents information in a relevant, action-oriented manner suitable for sales professionals.

MBTI® Profile

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® personality inventory provides an individual with insight into themselves and how they interact with others.  The MBTI Assessment helps people transform themselves by giving them a powerful tool for improving how they communicate, learn, and work.

The Profile provides a summary of reported type, explanations of the preferences, characteristics frequently associated with the type and an easy-to-read graph displaying the preference clarity index.

MBTI® Team Report

Develop a thriving and cooperative team with this powerful tool.  The Team Report provides a description of the group’s type, its strengths and weaknesses, and its problem solving and conflict management styles.  It also offers a personalized action plan to improve team productivity.  The report supplies information on the similarities and differences among the group members to build an effective, satisfied team.

MBTI® Work Styles Report

Conflicts between people jeopardize morale, efficiency, and employee retention.  The Work Styles Report, a narrative report designed for two people, offers a good starting point from which to address conflicts.  The Work Styles Report includes an overview of the meaning of the MBTI types and a description of each person’s type preferences, with a focus on characteristics of that type in the workplace.  Sections include communication style, information gathering, decision making, and project management.  The report provides steps to develop a more productive, satisfying, and healthy working relationship.

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team Assessment Report

With the tremendous success of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team by Patrick Lencioni, the need for a tangible measurement tool for the model became apparent. The Online Team Assessment addresses this need and provides teams with customized data outlining a given team‘s strengths and weaknesses according to the model. The detailed report offers specific recommendations for overcoming potential dysfunction and specific instructions for debriefing the results.
